Introducing myself

I've never been very good at introducing myself to other people. But I think it's nice that this thread is here, giving new members the opportunity to do that, so I'm going to give it a shot. My name is Haley and I'm 28 years old. I'm living in West Virginia right now... I wasn't born here, I've actually moved around quite a bit and I've ended up here for the time-being. Whether I'll choose to stay or not hasn't been decided yet; I haven't been happy with the area, but it's a small town with a very good community. Who knows? Just have to wait and see what the future brings.

I'm extremely introvert (not because of shyness- I just struggle to communicate in-person and I don't get along with everyone). I'm legally adopted by a former uncle-in-law. My adoptive dad is pretty much the best man I'll know, or ever have in my life. We've known each other for 20 years and we were able to be reunited after being apart for quite some time. It's been an incredible blessing. He has always believed in me and supports my dream of becoming a writer.

I'm hoping that I'll enjoy being part of this site... Maybe make some good friends and connections along the way. Anyway, I'm going to continue exploring the reading material. Have a good evening, everyone.

Well, gee...I thought you said you were kinda shy at first. 😉 I'm new too, and haven't introduced myself yet...came to this page and started from the top down. Sounds like you are an independent person and that is something to be proud of. I am glad you reconnected with someone you trust from your youth. As we get older...that person within us..well we tend to forget. Is easy to forget those very things that drive us and make us who we are...sometimes just seeing an old friend is enough to remind us. I don't know you yet, but I still hope the best for you! You sound like you may be struggling to make a decision?? Ya know, once when I was a kid...I decide I was gonna be the president of this great nation! The good thing for you and me both is our decisions are not set in stone! It is true...you need to be more careful the older you get...but even an old man might decide to move from here to there and do so with much success. The point is...whatever you decide...you are not bound to that forever...you could always just change your mind! Never be afraid to dream...and never ever stop changing your mind!

Not shy haha... Just usually quiet in-person. Writing helps, though. 😝
It's nice that there is someone else who is new. I hope that you're enjoying it so far.
Those are very kind of words... Thank you very much. And it's very true; life has a way of making us forget. My adoptive father has known me since I was a kid, but he's getting to know me as an adult much later. Many changes for both of us, but still a wonderful relationship. I'm very happy that I could re-connect with him as well.
I'm struggling with the decision because there is an option of moving to Georgia. Lots of job opportunities there... The area where I'm living now, not so much. It's been a struggle. But I'm trying to make the most of my free-time, so maybe something good can come of it.
I appreciate the kind words. I hope to get it figured out eventually. And I hope the best for you as well. 🙂

I am new too and haven't introduced myself yet. Really don't know how to do this. I have never done it before. But I do think you have made a very good introduction.
I wish you a good life in Virginia with your family. And may the God bless you and your family.

Welcome! I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say, "Really don't know how to do this. I have never done it before." But if it's what I'm thinking, it just take a little time to get into writing about topics that interest you. As far as not introducing yourself yet, it's understandable... That could change with the time that you spend looking around, getting comfortable with the different options. It's no hurry. And it's very nice to meet you. I wouldn't call myself an expert because I haven't spent much time here, either, haha. But if you ever have a question, I'll try my best to help if I can. :)👍

Thank you for the kind words. May you and your family be blessed as well.
-Haley
