It's of an exceptional importance to have enough rest after working out to allow your muscles time to heal and recover. As you train, muscle tissues break down and you need enough sleep, rest, and proper diet to have them healed.
My work-out days are from Monday to Thursday and I have Friday, Saturday and Sunday as rest days. That's the best option anyone could go for, in my opinion, if they seek to maximize their gains in strenght and muscle growth when working out. 3 rest days are enough to have you fresh and ready for the next week.
