Im 31 and happily single. Ive never dated anyone and don’t really plan on doing so. Im not saying I don’t get lonely sometimes or wish for some company. But, I feel like a relationship would add more stress to my life than happiness. Also, I have health issues that I am too afraid to tell a significant other about out of fear of rejection or feeling like a burden. I get anxious just thinking about dating and would prefer not to put that pressure on myself. I truly enjoy my own company and for the most part, I am okay with it being my reality. No one around me seems to understand this and I don’t like having to explain myself so much when its my life? All my friends are actively searching for a partner and I hate the pressure that they/society put on single people
I may regret this in the future when Im older and alone, but I figured that many people end up alone/divorced etc so its something I’ll deal with then.
Am I weird for not wanting a relationship?
