The Greatest Beer Run Ever is a Vietnam War movie based on a true story, but how true exactly is it? All John “Chickie” Donohue wanted to do was bring his friends in Vietnam a few American beers to thank them for their bravery and service. He was able to accomplish his feat by literally sneaking into the Vietnam War, a story that was dismissed over the years by most people who heard it. Now, audience members can see the long (and true) journey it took to get his friends a few beers during the war.
