Hulu's Hellraiser completely reimagines the original movie, and the path it takes owes a small debt to 2009's Friday The 13th reboot. The original Hellraiser was directed by Clive Barker, who adapted his novella The Hellbound Heart. Audiences had never seen a movie quite like Hellraiser before, and it remains one of the most unique horror films of all time.
