Supporting the Most Vulnerable during COVID-19

At a time as full of uncertainty in history as this, we decided to stand up for our vulnerable groups; considering women, children/girls, and LGBTQIA are the ones most at risk of experiencing the indirect adversities of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Shadow Pandemic and in general the world inequalities.​

We want to honor our members and their efforts by bringing visibility and awareness to the different struggles, causes, task forces, and successes they have made around the world to cope holistically with this COVID-19 Crisis.
As Man Up Campaign members we have to make sure their voices are being heard and their needs met. We are determined to take action to bring peace, hope, and awareness through the positive efforts made by our Man Up Campaign Task Force.
This world situation in which we find ourselves; the COVID-19 pandemic has brought changes in the lifestyle of many people, with the lockdown it has been dangerous to get out, that is why it is so important to recognize the efforts of those people, those heroes who in spite of putting their lives at risk, decide to overcome the protection of others. This is the case with the strength of the Man Up Campaign Task Force. Where we find different efforts, and actions, in different parts of the world that have brought well-being and hope to humanity. The following cases deal with small actions at an individual level as well as actions to mobilize efforts at a community and even a global level.

Nowadays, Unemployment has become a very big challenge for the society and for the whole nation. Unemployment reflects a heavy burden weighing on the whole nation but also on the whole society. Young people have different skills and knowledge in different domains and do not have the opportunity to access the labor market and find jobs in different domains, find themselves in a very difficult economic situation and while this generation were supposed to work and build their future life . It is important to notify that the youth constitute a very consistent workforce for the nation and can work in different sectors of the country with a view to achieving a sustainable development of the country and building a better future for the present generations. However, the success of the nation takes effect when the world of youth is well educated and trained to better guarantee its involvement in innovative projects that contribute to a significant evolution for their daily lives.

Youth Impact connect is an organization whose vision is to create a sustainable community in a professional environment and an adequate entrepreneurial culture. The mission of Youth Impact connect is to work with youth and women’s groups to reduce poverty by creating jobs in urban and rural areas through the two composantes:

• to create and coordinate a physical and virtual plateform for awareness raising, training, support , technical and financial support ,
• to promote the emergence and concretization of innovative business creation projects valuing the skills of young entrepreneurs.

It is in that context that Youth Impact Connect is organizing a six-month training course focused on the business Ideation Consulting, a training which will offer several theoretical and practical learning modules in order to help Young Professional people in the realization of their projects from the idea phase up to the creation of the entreprise. Benefiting from such training sessions is always an important step in their development path for success in their professional environment because it is a very big step that leads to a very high level, obviously requiring to make an effort and go beyond themselves in their daily lives. However, attending this training session is still a major key to orient yourself in the field of entrepreneurship; it is a time of opening up mind and sharing experience with others. Training is therefore a transformative experience that requires personal commitment.

The Business Ideation Consultation is therefore the most valuable offer that Youth Impact Connect will offer to participating entrepreneurs, an immersive and intensive training which refers to the cognitive, strategic and practical processes through which the concepts of design (proposals for new deliverables, solutions, etc. ) are developed by the designers and the project management teams. This training will be offered to overcome the various challenges that Burundian youth encounter during their entrepreneurial activities.
