Spider-Man got his first solo movie as part of the MCU in Spider-Man: Homecoming but the film didn't show Peter Parker getting his spidey powers and here's why. Homecoming is now several years old and is still appreciated for showing a rebooted depiction of Spider-Man that was done very well. Previously, there had been two incarnations of Spider-Man on screen, one played by Tobey Maguire in 2002 and the other by Andrew Garfield in 2012, and both were appreciated for different reasons. Unlike Homecoming, each of those two iterations showed Spider-Man's early origins and what led to him getting his powers.
